About the remap
Stage 1 optimization for the BMW M3 4.0 V8 - 420hp increases power from 420 to 443 hp (+23 hp, +5%). Naturally aspirated petrol engines have limited scope for power gains, but optimizing ignition and fueling maps delivers a smoother power delivery, more responsive throttle, and a noticeably more pleasant driving experience.
The remap is performed on the Siemens MSS60 ECU (engine code S65B40A) via the OBD2 diagnostic port – no ECU removal required. We use Alientech KESS3, Alientech KESSv2, ByteShooter Toolbox and other professional tools. Results are verified with a dynamometer measurement.
