About the remap
Stage 1 optimization for the Opel Astra 1.8i 16v 125hp increases power from 125 to 136 hp (+11 hp, +9%). Naturally aspirated petrol engines have limited scope for power gains, but optimizing ignition and fueling maps delivers a smoother power delivery, more responsive throttle, and a noticeably more pleasant driving experience.
The remap is performed on the Siemens SIMTEC 71 ECU (engine code Z18XE) via the OBD2 diagnostic port – no ECU removal required. We use Alientech KESSv2, Dimsport New Genius. Results are verified with a dynamometer measurement.
